Writing about myself...

Before I start this I'd like to apologize for the fact that it's probably going to be all over the place and relatively boring. You see, whilst trying to come up with an idea of what I could write about myself I tried to recap everything that's happened in my life (without going into anything too personal that I don't particularly want to remember) and I swear I caught myself falling asleep... Needless to say, this might not be the most interesting piece of writing in the world.

So as I sort of said, I've not had that much of an interesting life, which is kind of depressing considering I've had 17 years now to make something of myself. However, over the years I have found out a lot about who I am as a person and what interests me.

For a start, let's talk about music. I've always had a love for music, I briefly tried to learn to play the drums and I still to this day sing whatever gets stuck in my head, though I'll never be good enough to be in a band, so I'm happy with just listening to music as much as I possibly can. Surprisingly, I've only recently found out what music I truly love (when I say recently I mean in the past two years) but now that I know, you'll almost never see me without headphones in. Most of you probably won't know any of these bands, but my top 5 are: Bring Me The Horizon, Asking Alexandria, Pierce The Veil, Of Mice & Men and A Day To Remember.

The reason I love music so much (these bands in particular) is that, in short, they've made me who I am today. From the way I look to the way I think and speak, they have changed me. They changed me from being a socially anxious kid that was bullied daily, to someone more outgoing, that actually has friends and can stand up for himself. They made me a better person and through them I have made some of the best friends I will ever have, so for that I owe them everything.

Next on the boring list of me - gaming. I first began to love gaming when I bought Pokémon Yellow for the Gameboy Color when I was 5. It was the first game I ever played and completed, which made me love it all the more. I still have my original copy in my room and play it to this day. Since then I have always been an avid game, playing everything from Call Of Duty and Battlefield to Ratchet & Clank, League Of Legends and World Of Warcraft. I've never liked telling anyone that I love games because they always assume that I am an indoorsie person that never goes out. However since joining college I have no problems telling people because games make me who I am, if they don't like that then it's their problem, not mine.

The third thing that makes me who I am is art. I've always been the kind of person that draws whenever they have the time, though it's only recently that I've been good enough at it to show people without wondering how bad they think it is. I think the thing I love so much much about art, is the feeling when you are drawing, your problems seem to go away, and when you finish, you have a certain pride in the piece, and it's just amazing.
